Dogs and cats benefit from annual dental cleanings.

  • Untreated dental problems can cause pain and damage to other organs such as the kidneys, liver, and heart.

  • Often as dogs and cats age, they develop periodontal disease, infection, or tooth resorption that may require removal of the affected tooth.

Dental procedures require general anesthesia.

  • For patient’s safety.

  • To effectively clean and treat any problems.

We have fair and transparent prices without charging per tooth. Call for more information and estimates.

Other Surgeries

Surgical instruments

As pets age, they may have other surgical needs beyond spay/neuter. Here are some of our other surgical services offered.

Does your pet need a procedure not listed below? Give us a call, we may be able to help!

  • Masses in dogs and cats can be benign (non-spreading) or malignant (cancer that spreads to other organs). It's a good idea to have any new lump on your pet checked out by a veterinarian. Mass removal surgery involves removal of the mass and possibly the surrounding skin.

  • Pyometra is a life-threatening infection of the uterus that occurs most commonly in older female dogs that have not been spayed. Surgery involves removal of the ovary and uterus (spay) and treating the infection.

  • Cherry eye is a common condition of the lower eyelid where a gland that helps produce tears pops out of place. This can cause irritation and decreased tear production. Surgical correction involves replacing the gland into the eyelid and sewing it in place with dissolvable stitches.

  • Entropion is a painful condition caused by too much skin around the eyelids. This causes the skin and hair to roll in around the eyes causing irritation and damage to the eyes themselves. Correction involves removing a small amount of skin around the eyelids.

  • In smushed face (brachycephalic) breeds such as bulldogs and pugs, narrow nostrils contribute to breathing problems. This surgery widens the nostrils to improve breathing. It is highly recommended for bulldogs and can be performed at the same time as spay/neuter.

  • Smushed face (brachycephalic) breeds such as bulldogs and pugs frequently have an elongated soft palate which makes their breathing noisy and difficult. This prevents them from cooling themselves effectively when panting and can have life-threatening consequences. Soft palate resection involves carefully removing the excessive tissue in the back of the throat. This surgery is recommended for brachycephalic breeds and can be performed with spay/neuter.

  • Amputation can be performed on a toe, tail, or limb. This surgery may be performed due to severe injury, severe infection, or a cancerous process. Although scary, most dogs and cats (and even rabbits) do very well with 3 legs.

  • This is a major abdominal surgery that can be performed for a multitude of reasons. Patients in need of this surgery must have a work-up and referral sent from a full-service vet clinic.

  • This is surgical removal of an eye due to severe disease such as trauma, glaucoma, or infection. The eye and surrounding structures are removed and the socket is closed with dissolvable suture.
